From puzzles to public executions, this exhibition explores what people of all classes did in their leisure time in cities like London, Amsterdam, Paris and Florence during the Renaissance (about 1400–1700).

Visitors will discover the legacy of this vibrant period and its influence on concepts that shape modern society, including the entertainment industry.

Showcasing exquisite artworks and personal objects, this exhibition will present the variety of entertainments available to rich and poor Europeans, as well as the skilled artisans and tricksters willing to exploit people's eagerness to spend their time and money seeking fun.
