Tablet Tours

All Tablet Tour sessions cost £75.

Only bookings made directly by UK schools will be accepted. We don't accept bookings from third parties. 

Before you book your Tablet Tour, please ensure you have read the privacy policy and have the following information ready: 

• Your school address
• Your school email address and phone number
• Your choice of tour  
• Your group's access requirements

If you're not able to attend a session you must inform the Box Office at least 14 days' before the session date. 

We are unable to offer any refunds or exchanges for any cancellations less than 14 days' in advance. For more information please read our terms and conditions.

Collect your tablets from the Ford Centre for Young Visitors (Level -1) at the time your session is due to start. If you are unfamiliar with the layout of the Museum, staff can give you verbal instructions on how to get to the gallery where the Tablet Tour takes place. You may wish to review the Museum map before your visit. 

• Tablet Tour: Parthenon takes place in Room 18 (Level 0). 
• Tablet Tour: Sutton Hoo takes place in Room 41 (Level 3). 
• Tablet Tour: Roman Empire takes place in Room 70 (Level 3). 

Once inside the gallery: 

• Students should activate the tablets to begin the tour.
• Students will explore several objects in the gallery.
• The tablets will notify students once the tour is complete or the session is finished. 

Once your tour is finished, please return the tablets to the Ford Centre for Young Visitors. The Centre can be accessed via the Great Court – take the stairs or lift on the east side of the Great Court down to the lower levels.

No. The school teacher is responsible for guiding the students to the gallery. The tablets will direct the tour within the gallery.

You'll be emailed an evaluation survey to the same email address you used to book. Completing the survey is optional. Your feedback in the survey will help us to develop and improve our activities.

Most of the galleries and all special exhibitions are fully accessible.
