Hire our tablets for a tour of a British Museum gallery and use augmented reality to examine the objects on display.

Students explore the objects of Sutton Hoo (Room 41) with tablets, using augmented reality technology to develop historical inquiry skills and engage with the past in exciting and innovative ways.  

In this activity designed for UK schools, students will learn about the Sutton Hoo burial and what the objects found within can tell us about Anglo-Saxon society, religion and culture.

  • Maximum group size: 32
  • Session time: 60 mins
  • The school teacher is responsible for guiding the students to the gallery. The tablets will direct the tour within the gallery.
