In this engaging presentation find out about Maya civilisation through amazing objects from Yaxchilan and other ancient cities in Mesoamerica.

Students will learn about Maya rulers, buildings, beliefs, writing, food, entertainment and the environment.

Depending on group size, your students may be joined by students from other schools.

  • Maximum group size: 130
    Please be aware that the total capacity for these sessions is set at 130 students. These spaces may be booked by groups from different schools so please ensure you book sufficient student spaces for the classes you are bringing to the Museum as these popular sessions book out quickly.
  • Session time: 45 minutes
  • This session takes place in the BP Lecture Theatre.
