This session uses storytelling, discussion and object handling to explore the skills of story writing.
The session opens with the students sharing a big book story about life in an African village. They will use their skills of speaking and listening to explore the characters, setting and action as the story unfolds. Object handling and time in the African galleries will inspire the students to write their own ending to the story. Take the paper books created by each student back to school to set up an instant mini-library in the classroom.
