The British Museum's collection spans more than two million years of human history and culture, all under one roof.
Try our resources or book a facilitated session; to support archaeology, anthropology, art and design, classical civilisation, economics, relationships and sex education at both AS and A-level.
Our unique offer is delivered by a team of professional educators and artists, who work with our collections from around the world, to encourage students to use objects as evidence and inspiration to underpin formal learning and their growth into young adults.
The new Energy Centre Programme, part of the Museum's Masterplan, will support our path to net zero and requires major infrastructure work. As a result, there will therefore be changes to our schools offer.

Schools offer update
We have some exciting changes happening that support our path to net zero as part of the Museum's Masterplan. This will mean some reductions in public programmes, including facilitated school programmes, in-person school group visits and lunch and locker capacity at the Museum whilst key infrastructure work is carried out.
The Museum recognises that this reduction in capacity may lead to some disappointment for schools and students, however, the Museum's learning team are working hard to bring new programming opportunities for schools later in the year.
