Explore the Ancient India: living traditions exhibition with this special evening event co-produced by the Museum's Youth Collective.

Kick-start South Asian Heritage Month (18 July – 17 August) with talks and activities themed around the major new exhibition Ancient India: living traditions. This event is inspired by the exhibition's exploration of the nature spirits that gave rise to the imagery of Buddhism, Hinduism and Jainism, and by the show's themes of community, continuity and change. Learn more about how these living religious traditions and their sacred art today form part of the daily lives of almost two billion people around the world.

A full programme of activities will be available soon – keep your eye on the @bmyoungpeople Instagram for more information.

This event is part of the public programme supporting the exhibition Ancient India: living traditions (22 May – 19 October 2025) and has been co-produced by the Youth Collective as part of the British Museum Young People's Programme.

Generously supported by The Greengross Family.
