Get the family to the British Museum this May half-term for free, fun family activities inspired by Ancient India: living traditions.
Colourful, sensory and atmospheric, this new exhibition explores the early sacred art of Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism in the nature spirits of ancient India.
Over this two-day event you can...
- Join artist and printmaker Neera Sehgal to explore the centuries-old craft of printing with Indian woodblocks.
- Discover the beautiful colour, techniques and motifs found in South Asian traditional Saree fabrics which you can use to make a fabric collage with fashion designer Sapna Patel.
- Get hands-on with some exciting objects with the British Museum's volunteer team.

To attend this event
This event is free to drop into at any time between 11.00 and 16.30. Activities are non-ticketed but places will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
You're advised to book a free timed ticket for Museum entry to receive key information and updates before your visit and priority entry during busy periods. Please note that your free timed ticket does not include entry to Ancient India: living traditions.
