Description: Vessel was examined and X-rayed . UV images and XRF Overpaint was removed from the back of the vessel using cottonwool swabs moistened with acetone and distilled water. This revealed the vessel had been reconstructed using fragments from similiar vessels (possibly 3) of the same date. However there were also sherds of a different colour which looked as though they were fired and glazed replacements, confirmed by XRF. Consolidated break edges to provide stability using 10% B72, refiilled to improve using Flugger acrylic putty, sanded smooth with abrasive papers. Painted with Golden acrylic paints.
